
HOUSTON – In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Houston Aeros hockey team winning their first championship, the AVCO World Trophy is in town this weekend, making several stops around the Houston area.
The Aeros won the championship during the 1973-74 World Hockey Association season and featured several players who are enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame, including Gordie Howe and his son, Mark Howe.
The AVCO World Trophy is permanently displayed in Toronto’s Hockey Hall of Fame.
Below are the stops the trophy is scheduled to make over the weekend in Houston.
