MALE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
The Houston-area high school athlete who demonstrates superior physical ability in it’s sport.
FEMALE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
The Houston-area high school athlete who demonstrates superior physical ability in it’s sport.
HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE YEAR
The Houston-area high school coach, whose dedication and commitment to coaching excellence is fostered in the lives of his/her athletes, both on and off the field.
MOMENT OF THE YEAR
Moment or series of moments transpiring in a play in a single game or individual match or specific event.
The moment is not limited to the field of play.
NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR AWARD
THE INSPIRATION AWARD
The Houston-area athlete or coach or sports person who surpasses expectations of sportsmanship. Nominees can be from any level, as long as it relates to sports and demonstrates qualities that could include integrity, selflessness, kindness, generosity, compassion, empathy, respect, humility, or civility.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award recognizes individuals who have made a positive impact on the sports world and the Houston community throughout their careers. The winner is announced prior to the event.
SPORTSMANSHIP OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Houston-area athlete, coach, or sports person who surpasses expectations of sportsmanship. Nominees can be from any level related to sports and demonstrate qualities that could include integrity, selflessness, kindness, generosity, compassion, empathy, respect, humility, or civility.
