On June 14, the first FIFA World Cup 2026™ match in Houston will kick off. A deliberate decision was made early on, however, that the benefits of hosting the largest global sporting event wouldn’t begin when Germany and Curaçao take the pitch. Nor would they end when the tournament concludes on July 19.
